We'd like to welcome Brian K. Morris as the guest author for this year's convention. Buck Weiss had a family commitment and in our lives we believe that family comes first. We'd like to welcome Brian K. Morris as the guest author for this year's convention. Brian has a wide range of publishing credits from novels to prepaid burial contracts! He is a unique and wonderful guy and we're excited to welcome to our Noble Con family! Also, I was contacted by a company who has designed an awesome - at your fingertips - app for conventions. Concon app is available in iTunes store now! Head over to their website and download it to get instant access to over 500 anime and comic conventions across the United States. Guess what?! We're on their app! Their website is: www.conconapp.com/ It has some fantastic features - not only can you can discover events near your location - just by enabling your location on your phone, but you can bookmark events, get information on dates, artist alley booth prices, application URLs, attendance numbers, general ticket registration info, and so much more! Check it out and let us know what you think! Did I tell you that we're selling t-shirts? Since it's our first time selling them, we will have a limited supply. In the same building - but separate from Noble Con is the opening weekend for the Noble School of Terror. You may want to check them out between games - since they are not part of Noble Con it is a separate fee of $10.00.
We survived Gen Con 50 and have already booked our hotel room for next years! It was an incredible experience. We came back with a ton of prize support and more is coming in every day. I want to give a big shout out to all the companies that contributed to Noble Con and let them know that we appreciate and support their companies in return. Be sure to check out the support page and click on the links to go to their web sites!
There is also going to be a haunted house at the convention site - since it isn't part of Noble Con, it has a separate entrance price of $10. I'll post more information about that tonight - you might want to check out the Noble Haunted School and have a scary time. Be sure to check out our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NobleCon1/ 37 days until Noble Con! We’re a go – with only 103 days until Noble Con and things are in full swing. We’ve gotten confirmation from several game companies that they are contributing to our game support.
Cheap Ass Games Mage, Inc. magecompanygames.com/ Check out their new kickstarter campaign on 12 Realms Dungeonland – we got to play it last year at NobleCon and it was a blast! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/magecompany/12-realms-dungeonland-0 John Wick Presents http://johnwickpresents.com/ Rather Dashing Games http://www.ratherdashinggames.com/ Legendary Games http://www.makeyourgamelegendary.com/ Studio Agate Games https://portal.esteren.org/en/ R. Talsorian https://rtalsoriangames.wordpress.com/ Atlas Games blog.atlas-games.com/ And we’re heading off to Gen Con to gather even more as we did last year. They're saying Gen Con will have record numbers this year. I can't wait to visit old friends and make new ones. I'm so excited! I’m not working the con like I did last year for Gale Force 9, but will be visiting the dealers room with my good friend Rachel Peterson while our husbands play and buy games. It looks like some of our friends from Galactic Games and things are going to be there also for the Game of Thrones tourney – wish them luck! Remember - Noble Con October 6-7. Doors open at noon on Friday. We will have a concession stand again this year and three rooms of gaming. It's been a while and I've been ... well slacking. Not completely - just in the front lines. Behind the scenes I've been contacting game companies and begging for product and have gotten a pretty good response.
Cheap Ass Games is back as one of our main contruibutors. We've added one of my favorite game companies and games - John Wick Presents - with 7th Sea and Blood and Honor - two games that will be front and center at NobleCon. Dan is running the Japanese samurai game Blood and Honor and I will come out from behind the registration table (and everywhere else) to run a rousing game of pirates and plunder via 7th Sea. We also have a fantastic company - I got to meet the founders of the company at Gen Con last year and I have to say it was one of the best days ever! Rather Dashing Games has jumped on board and contributed some great material for our convention. We've got a Star Trek game donated by a local business and some other items that I need to sort and log in. We're looking for game masters and volunteers. Drop me a line and let me know what's going on and what you want to run. We hope you can join us. It's going to be a blast! It's been a busy weekend. I created a #tag for NobleCon. Yeah, I know that wasn't difficult - but still it is one more thing off my list. Just use #NobleCon and you can catch up on the latest news!
I've updated the vendor sheet with a submitting form that actually works. And, added one to the vendor page for those brave folks who want to run games and set up panels. I tested both forms and they really do go where they're suppose to. Dan Longoria and Randy Keen have both submitted reviews for the NobleCon Game Reviews page over the last two weeks. The Pandemic Legacy game looks like a fun play and I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I've played Onitama and while it plays fast, it is a lot of fun. Sometimes you just want a quick fun game to play and fill in a few minutes. Joseph Morris from TORC Press has agreed to come back and be our guest comic book artist. Let Joseph know you heard about NobleCon and can't wait to see him. We have our hotel space for this year's GenCon and I can't wait to get out and meet the vendors. This year Rachel and Josh Peterson are going with us. We had so many donations for the convention that we couldn't carry them all last year and I'm hoping for the same or more this year. Especially since our charity of choice this year is Fur A Good Paws. We're working on a new design and have a company set up to make our tee-shirts once the design is in place. Yes! We Will have tee shirts this year. I have us set up on several event calendars and gaming sites. That's it for now - I have to write letters to game companies and set up the dealer's packet. Hope you leave room on your calendar for NobleCon - October 6th and 7th. |
