Those of us at Noble Con understand how it is at conventions and the competitive nature of some gamers. But, we want you to remember this is a place to have FUN and that means we have rules that need to be followed - so that everyone can have FUN.
Our NUMBER ONE rule is what we in the gamer’s world like to call Wheaton’s Law. “Don’t be a D**K. If you’re unclear about what that means – check out this YouTube video where he explains it when he’s talking to Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3ICRoe-QIw We will break down what we think it means to not be a D**k
Follow federal, state and local laws, facility rules, rules of the convention and general consideration for each other.
Since we are using private property – their rules include no smoking or drinking alcohol on the grounds.
Follow the instructions of any of the Noble Con staff
Do not threaten, steal, cheat, harass, damage or be generally rude to any person or their property.
Don’t endanger yourself or anyone around you
Act mature –
If you witness anyone behaving like a D**K and not doing any of the above, please report it to Noble Con staff and we’ll take care of it. Harassment Policy
Do NOT harass anyone. IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and you will be asked to leave without a refund. If you do not leave, the staff will contact the local Sheriff and they will ask you to leave and maybe stay with them for a time.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to: Sexual, Sexual orientation, Gender, Race, and Game preferences.
Weapons Policy
No functional weapons are allowed at Noble Con
Projectile costume weapons must be examined and approved by Noble Con staff and rendered inoperable. This includes Nerf and ranged boffer weapons.
No life steel. Bladed weapons must be blunt, in some type of sheath and tied to your costume to keep it from being drawn.
All replica weapons must be EASILY distinguishable from real weapons – this means prop firearms must have an orange cap on the barrel.
Do not display weapons or props in a threatening manner
Noble Con reserves the right to make a judgement call on your weapon. If you don’t follow the guidelines we will ask you to please take the weapon to your car and leave it there.
Costume and Cosplay Policy
Costumes and Cosplayers are encouraged and welcome at Noble Con. Please follow these rules:
No modern military, security, law enforcement or first responder costumes are permitted. We need to be able to distinguish between costumes and first responders if there is an actual emergency. We do welcome Active Duty Military, and they are permitted the right to wear their uniform. We understand you may want to come as part of the Umbrella Corp or another game genre – please make it easy to see to someone unfamiliar with the costume that you are not a real official.
Use good judgement and good taste. We are a family establishment – not a make a family establishment.
Any HATE symbols are deemed unappropriated and will not be tolerated. Even if these symbols are historically accurate for your costume or prop.
We believe you can figure out what is appropriate or not appropriate, however Noble Con reserves the right to make a judgement call and we will ask you to change your outfit if we believe it does not fit into a family convention. If you refuse to change, you will be asked to leave without a refund.
Refund Policy Refunds will only be given for attendees who have registered through PayPal and will only be accepted three (3) weeks prior to the convention. Please see details on how PayPal refunds work.
